Aggressive Soccer Pass Receiving vs. Passive Receiving - Teaching Soccer Receivers how being Aggressive can help them win passes.
I have seen a lot improvement in my players this season and I have awarded patches for bravery, hustle, assists, etc. Tom
We recently recieved a letter from a U12 coach that verifies one thing that I am convinced of is the importance of practicing under pressure and inhectic, chaotic conditions.
I've been using the patches this week in my classes and the kids are nearly fighting over them to get one! What a great idea for motivating students. Aled, Physical Education Director
A way to teach your soccer players to avoid bunching up and to teach "Movement Off the Ball" is by teaching your players that when a teammate with the ball is dribbling toward them, they MUST move away from the ball in order to create space for the ballhandler and to create a passing option. Demonstrate this by dribbling toward a player who is defended while the others watch. The player you dribble toward needs to move to create space and to "pull" the defender.
I noticed that the Gold Star patches have helped bring out some good leadership in my players and the D patch works wonders for my defensive players. -Sean
Students can use patches can be ironed-on a shirt or put on a keychain and attached to a backpack.
